Volusia County Shares What Public Transit Riders Should Know Ahead of Friday's Presidential Visit

October 30, 2026

With President Donald Trump's visit to the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30, passengers utilizing Volusia County's public transportation services, including VoTran, VoAccess, and VoRide, are encouraged to plan ahead and anticipate potential delays, detours, and schedule changes throughout the day.

Several VoTran routes may experience delays throughout the day, with some operating on modified schedules or following alternate routes to accommodate road closures and traffic congestion. Additionally, service to the Beachside Transit Facility, located in the Ocean Center parking garage, will be closed. Other routes may experience temporary service interruptions or changes to their usual stops. Passengers using VoAccess paratransit services or VoRide's nighttime service should also anticipate potential delays.

All passengers traveling in and around the Daytona Beach area should allow additional time to reach their destinations. Those making connections should be especially mindful of potential delays, as connecting buses cannot wait for late arrivals.

For the most current information, passengers can use the VoTran On-Demand app to monitor available schedules, route statuses, and service updates in real time. Riders should check the app before departing and periodically throughout the day, as service adjustments may occur in response to changing traffic conditions. Passengers may also contact VoTran Customer Service at 386-761-7700 for assistance.
