Votran is Hiring a Service Island Workers for the Maintenance Department

These positions are full-time and part-time.

This position is responsible for fueling, cleaning and detailing buses on a daily basis.

Checks oil and fluids and adds as needed. Operates buses and other vehicles around the shop area and may be required to drive to road calls and/or the Orange City facility.

Hours: 5:30 PM - 2:30 AM Monday thru Saturday

Sundays 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

  Hours are nights, weekends and holidays.

Salary $12.24/hour

Votran is Hiring for a Full Time Maintenance Technician

Experience with repairing and maintaining internal combustion engines, accessories, power-trains, chassis components, and sub-systems.  Able to interpret schematic diagrams, both electrical and hydraulic.  Be familiar with the practices and procedures of preventive maintenance.  Must have your own tools.  Tool allowance provided yearly.  Must have or be able to obtain a permit for a class B CDL with a Passenger (P) endorsement.

Starting salary - $16.20/hour

Votran is hiring for full-time Fixed Route Bus Operators

Operate bus over prescribed route, following time schedule.
Provide information to passengers in a courteous, efficient manner.
Use proper etiquette to assist passengers with disabilities. 
Secure wheelchairs, operate lift.
Prepare written reports on accidents and incidents.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Must have or be able to obtain a CDL Class B permit or license with a passenger endorsement.

CDL Training provided.

FULL-TIME BUS OPERATORS -  $11.89/ hour - Training Rate

                                                      $14.34/ hour – After completion of probation

Paratransit (Small Bus) Operators

These positions are full-time and part-time.

Properly operate small bus/van over prescribed route, following a manifest
* Provide information to passengers in a courteous, efficient manner; use proper etiquette to assist passengers with disabilities
Complete daily manifest to include pick-up and drop-off times and odometer readings
* Prepare written reports on accidents, incidents, road damage, etc

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Must have or be able to obtain a CDL Class B permit or license with a passenger endorsement.

CDL Training provided.

 $10.40/hour - Training Rate

 $12.54/hour - After completion of probation

Votran is seeking an Accounting and Grants Specialist

Perform finance duties supporting the Finance Director.  Working within generally accepted accounting principles and procedures, particularly as they relate to transit / governmental financial administration, and ability to apply such knowledge to budget analysis and grant billing programs.  Working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations controlling fiscal record keeping.  Performs review of accounting records for accuracy.  Performs tasks with considerable knowledge of the legal, administrative and procedural regulations related to Votran / County, federal and state grantor agencies.  Makes day to day decisions concerning treatment of financial transactions.  Manages grant process to include application, reporting, invoicing, and grant close out.

Preferred candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in a related field plus two years of budget or financial related field experience.  Working knowledge of government, institution or non-profit budgets, grant programs and contracts preferred.   Must be able to independently prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs, demonstrated capabilities to manipulate and analyze data with excel tools, and utilizing technology to produce time sensitive documents is preferred.

Remote work is not available for this position.

Starting Salary - $ 64,000 - $71,000
